What to Expect Post Treatment
What to Expect After Your Electrolysis Treatment
Electrolysis is a safe and effective method of permanent hair removal. Following your treatment, it's normal to experience some temporary skin reactions as the treated area heals.
Immediately After Treatment
You may notice:
-
Mild redness or pinkness
-
Slight swelling around the treated follicles
-
A sensation similar to a mild sunburn or warmth in the area
-
Small pinpoint scabs in some cases
These reactions are a normal part of the healing process and typically subside within a few hours to a few days, depending on the area treated and your skin's sensitivity.
Aftercare Recommendations
To help your skin heal comfortably and achieve the best results:
-
Keep the treated area clean and avoid touching it unnecessarily.
-
Avoid makeup, perfumed products, or harsh skincare products on the treated area for at least 24 hours.
-
Refrain from swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, and excessive sweating for 24–48 hours.
-
Protect the area from direct sun exposure and apply sunscreen if the area will be exposed.
-
Do not pick, scratch, or exfoliate any small scabs that may form.
When Will I See Results?
Hair grows in cycles, so multiple treatments are required to achieve permanent hair removal. Consistent treatments will provide the best long-term results.
